Towers Garden Concert

featuring The Manhattan Singers in an original production

"On the Air"...A live musical trip through the 1940's in the format of a live radio show... music from the era of swing, the commercial jingles, love songs, WW2 home front...the voices are exceptional...all seasoned performers...the costumes and the choreography are authentic to the period. This is a winner!

The Towers Garden concert, an annual tradition since 1990, will be held on Sunday, June 29th in historic Jackson Heights. Located between 80th and 81st Streets, the Towers garden stretches from 34th Avenue to Northern Boulevard. Gates on 80th Street will open at 3 PM and guests may tour the garden which features the original fountains, restored to working condition. The Jackson Heights Art Club will have a special exhibit of original art painted in the garden.

The two-hour show will begin at 4 PM with one intermission. Following the performance, a buffet will be provided. Although the weather has always behaved, the rain site is St. Mark's Church located directly across from the Towers on 81st Street which has a lovely performance space.

1 Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children under 14 years, free for children under 6 years. They may be purchased at the gate. For more information, call the Towers Office, (718) 424-9898 weekdays between 9 & 3. Other times call Barbara at (718) 458-7168.
